Dr. Kimo Takayesu

Dr. Takayesu completed training in emergency medicine at the Harvard-Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency (HAEMR) at Brigham and Women’s/Massachusetts General Hospitals in 2003.  He served as the Associate Residency Director of the Harvard-Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency (HAEMR) and the co-Director of the Harvard clerkship in emergency medicine from 2003-2017.  He currently serves as the Director of the HAEMR Medical Education Fellowship and the Departmental Simulation Officer for emergency medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, organizing programs for individual resident and attending formative assessment.   In addition to his academic roles, he is the co-founder of Minerva Medical Simulation, the creator of the serious medical game Full Code for training in emergency medicine diagnostic reasoning.
